SERVICES

* Promote the future work force by providing state of the art training.

* Work with area schools to
provide marketable skills and encourage graduates to seek local employment.

* Provide program information about Northeast Iowa Community College and
Upper Iowa University to promote a higher quality work force.

* Aid in recruitment of new
industries by arranging high tech training programs.

* Serve as an entrepreneurial
center to develop business and industry contacts.

* Host meetings with area leaders to promote economic growth in the area.

* Assist the Oelwein Chamber and Area Development and Fayette County Economic Development Foundation in their efforts to promote economic development.


80 percent of Fayette County workers ready to learn new skills 46 percent willing to share in training costs

More than 1,120 respondents said they are ready to learn new work skills and 636 of them express a willingness to share in training costs.
